How to play Chainle
Find a word that connects every clue. There is no single correct answer: stronger connections earn more points.
A simple example
Transportation and pizza both connect to delivery. Delivery uses transportation, and pizza can be delivered.
Five daily rounds
The first three rounds have two clues each, the fourth has three, and the final round has one. Submit one valid word per round. Each round is worth up to 1,000 points, for a total of 5,000.
Scores and mosaic pieces
Each group of up to eight pieces represents your connection to one clue. More fitted pieces mean a stronger connection. A word related to only one clue can score lower. Invalid words do not use your turn.
When do puzzles reset?
Both languages reset at 00:00 UTC. English and Chinese have separate puzzles. Replay past dates in the archive. Rankings are separate by language and date, tied scores share a rank, and your first completion counts.
